Dr Crisp is a medical doctor and public health specialist, having worked in several African countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Lesotho, Botswana, Namibia and Tanzania. He led the establishment of the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS), the transfer of the medicolegal mortuaries from police to health, the creation of the Forensic Pathology Services, and the establishment of the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).

Chief Commercial Officer at NHS Digital

Nic became NHS Digital’s Chief Commercial Officer in November 2019. He leads the NHS Digital commercial and legal function which specialises in digital and technology procurements, and commercial and market management.

Nic’s background is in major programme delivery predominantly within the health and care sector. Since 2004 he has worked on and led major national digital programmes providing new capabilities across primary and secondary care and directly to citizens, working in partnership with a range of technology suppliers. Nic also led the programme to establish NHS Digital as a new statutory organisation in 2013.

As a member of the NHS Digital Executive Management Team, Nic has led the organisation’s internal response to COVID-19 and the work to define future ways of working.

He is a Professor of Medical Education at the University of Manchester and an honorary Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Salford. He has a long-standing interest in global healthcare capacity building and education, leading the development of the GuluMan healthcare link and is the founder director of the Uganda-UK Healthcare Alliance. He was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2019 for global and medical education.

Josie Winter

Josie started life in the NHS, working as a Theatre Practitioner which is where her love of Infection Prevention and patient safety stemmed from. Since then, she has branched out working for private healthcare organisations both in the UK and globally. Charlotte is an Associate Director at KPMG and former General Practitioner. For the last 3 years, she has been Healthcare Executive to the Global Chairman for Healthcare, Government and Infrastructure at KPMG International, during which time she launched KPMGs Global Workforce Proposition for Healthcare and Government, and co-authored a book on the global workforce crisis in healthcare. Prior to this, Charlotte worked for 11 years in the NHS and has held posts with Nursing Now, the Health and Social Care Select Committee, and NHS England. Anthony Huszar 
Global Health Security Lead at Mott MacDonald

Dr Anthony Huszar is a medical doctor and public health professional, specialising in health systems strengthening. He previously led the UK Government’s Fleming Fund programme in South East Asia, whose goal was to tackle antimicrobial resistance through improving laboratories and disease surveillance systems. A key part of the programme was a portfolio of fellowships designed to strengthen human resource capacity through international mentorship and network building. More broadly, Anthony has worked on preventative health strategies, task-shifting and digital health initiatives, seeking other ways to circumvent the human resource challenge. Elliott co-founded Infinity Health in 2014 following a conversation with an NHS doctor who was battling with the paper task lists and handwritten notes commonly used in hospitals to manage daily tasks. Elliott saw that this was a technical challenge a startup could really contribute to. He set out to make task management safer and more efficient whilst improving clinicians’ experience of their crucial, high-pressure roles; Infinity Health was born.

Elliott began his working life at Virgin Records – first in the post room and subsequently the UK marketing team. He moved on to run a digital agency, building websites and communities for media companies and running technical IT projects. Alastair is a Partner in the Employment and Pensions Department, advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment issues, both in the private sector and public sector (Health and Local Government). He advises on matters in Tribunals, the EAT, appeal courts and civil courts, usually defending claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination and breach of contract. He also specialises in internal dispute resolution, in particular carrying out complex conduct, capability and grievance investigations.
