Dr Ibtesam is the Director of Investment and Private Partnership for the Dubai Health Authority. Her role encompasses the development of the holistic expansion of healthcare partnerships for the Emirate and across the UAE.
Alongside this she launched the healthcare investment strategy for the region. She focuses on PPP as the road ahead for healthcare in conjunction with her role in leading and guiding on best practice.
Trained at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dr Al Bastaki headed up the health strategy team at the Prime Minister’s Office in Dubai and has worked extensively within the Ministry of Health and also private organisations.
She will join experts and representatives from the health systems of Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi to give insights in to the organisation and strategy for the region with specific reference to alliances with overseas companies that align with the UAE vision.
