Eastern Health Cluster
The Eastern Health Cluster (EHC) was formed in 2017, in the context of Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program (NTP), as the first health Cluster. ECH, which spans over 500km, currently comprises of 22 secondary and tertiary hospitals and 133 primary healthcare centres (PHCs).
EHC set out on a journey to develop a vision and mission that defines its purpose and acts as a guide to the organization’s strategic and operational efforts. Under the direction of its Advisory Board, the Cluster focused on developing a vision and mission that meets the needs of the communities, patients and employees:
Vision: To transform into a world-class healthcare provider, for comprehensive human-centric healthcare.
Mission: To deliver prevention and accessible integrated care through a safe, sustainable, and innovative system, resulting in improving primary care and enabling people to take ownership of their own health.
